Location: Boca Raton FL, 33428 ( Lift Station Repair and Pump Replacement) Cause of Problem: One of the Pumps and Control Panel not working correctly. Resolution: Summer time in South Florida means Hurricane and Storm season. Anyone that is local or has been here long enough will tell you. One minute it is sunny with blue skies and the next minute there is a torrential down pour. In this case when when the rains came in the storm system backed up. All the storm drains became full and started to flood the parking lot. The cause of all of this was due to the Lift Station that the storm basins connected to was not running. The pumps inside the wet well where not pumping. The Rhino Rooter Plumber found that the Control Panel the is the brain of the system was malfunctioning and not sending signals needed to engage the pumps. One of the pumps was completely "fried" from running continuously. Which lead to the Lift Station Repair and Pump Replacement. The panel was all pre-wired off site prior to being installed for the specs that are required. The old Panel was removed. The new Control Panel was then installed. The Panel was mounted to the existing stand. Then the existing float switches were connected. Float switches are what sends signal to Panel on when to turn pumps on and off. One of the pumps was under sized and "burnt out". This pump was replaced with a larger and more durable pump. The Lift Station Repair and Pump Replacement was almost complete. The pump was connected to the discharge pipe, the pipe was a two inch PVC pipe. A new pump should have a...

Problem: Water leaking from Ice Maker supply line. Location: Condo in Boca Raton Florida 33434. Resolution: Rhino Rooter was called for a leak that was occurring between floors of a multi-story condominium in lovely Boca Raton. When the plumber arrived he found that there was some water staining on the ceiling of the unit below. He the proceeded to the unit above and moved the refrigerator to investigate. It was found that a leaking ice maker supply line had caused the damage. The leaking ice maker supply line was connected to the refrigerator water supply. The other end ran though the wall to a bathroom. The leaking ice maker supply line was connected to the cold water angle stop for the lavatory sink. The plumber was able to disconnect the plastic tubing leaking ice maker supply line on both ends. He removed the old damaged supply. The plumber then proceeded to replace the leaking ice maker supply line with a new steel braided hose supply. The water was turned back on and it was tested for leaks. It is very important to always inspect and physically check all supply line in your home and businesses. The average life of a supply line is about 5-7 years, and at that time it is recommended that supply lines be replaced. Most of your fixtures and appliances that use water will have a supply line/hose. Some include Toilets, Faucets, Washing Machine, Dishwasher, ETC. All supply lines should be connected to a working angle stop/shut off valve. It is very important that these valves are in good working condition. If there is a break or leak on the supply this will allow the water to be shut down. If this valve fails the next place to shut off water will be the main water shut off for the home or business. If you have any questions or would like to have a plumber inspect the condition of your supplies and shut off...
