The garbage disposal is not your friend, unless your friends come over and purposely cause your kitchen sink to back up by forcing food into the drain. You should also never pour any type of grease or oils into your drain. As over time they will cause heavy blockages which may require heavy duty equipment to unstop the drain. We all dislike the discomfort of a slow tub drain. There is nothing worse them trying to feel nice and clean only to be splashing around in your own dirty water. There are many causes to a slow tub drain. One of the most obvious reasons would be hair that makes its way down the drain only to slow things up. Bust lets say you have no hair what might cause a slow tub drain? The normal oils on your body mixed with the fats in the soaps will cause a scum build up. It almost is like a thick "jelly" type material that will build up over time and cause the drain to come to a complete stop. So your net question maybe how to prevent this from happening. The best way to prevent hair from causing a slow tub drain would be to use a screen. This way when your showering is complete you can remove and clean the screen. As far as regular build up, the safest way is to mix two parts white vinegar to one part baking soda. Mix the products and let the mixture sit for a few hours. LOCATION: Boca Raton FL, 33431 (Hydro Jetting) CAUSE OF PROBLEM: Repeat Sewer Back Ups. RESOLUTION: There are many ways to go about maintaining your drain system. The original sewer cleaning machine was invented in 1933 by Samuel Blanc. Since then so much has changed and the plumbing industry has many technical upgrades in systems and equipment used to maintain them. one of the most popular methods of drain cleaning is called Hydro Jetting. Hydro jetting is a machine that is used to pressure clean the interior walls of pipe systems. There is no better way to clean grease or a soft blockage in a sewer. The equipment is capable of delivering 4000 psi at 18 gallons a minute. There are even hydro jetters used by municipalities that are larger and more power to maintain the larger city sewers. The sewer cable machine is still used to this day, however, it has its drawbacks. A cable machine can only reach so far where a Hydro Jetter can max out 500 plus feet. The hydrojetter can self propel itself down a sewer pipe. Which means less stress to a plumbers body. The way the machine works is that it has a motor and a pump. Which cause pressure to build up and send water into a high pressured hose. From the hose, it will travel to what is known as the head. The jet head has holes allowing a 360-degree cleaning of the pipe. To find out more information you can visit our main website at www.Rhino-Rooter.com and learn more. Location: Residential Home in Boca Raton FL, 33428 Cause of Problem: Toilet running though the night. Resolution: Rhino Rooter received a service request from a customer located in Boca Raton FL for toilet running. The customer notice that there toilet would constantly make noises. Luckily Rhino Rooter repairs toilets running. They stated they first notice the problem because the noise would keep they up at night. When the Rhino Rooter plumber arrived he performed some diagnostic work on the toilet. The plumber also found that the home owner's water bill had a significant increase. The cause was a failing flapper and fill valve. The fill valve/ballcock is located inside the tank area of your toilet. The design for the fill valve/ballcock has a built in float. The water enters your toilet tank via the fill valve. Once the toilet reaches to correct level, the float becomes lifted and in return shuts the valve closed to stop water from filling up the toilet tank. The flapper is the mechanism that allows the filled tank to transfer into the bowl when the handle is pushed. The design behind the flapper is to seal the water in the tank until the handle is pushed then automatically close once the transfer of water is completed. The flapper is connected to the handle by a chain. Most flappers will be made of rubber and warp over time. This will cause a slow leak from tank to the bowl which will cause the water level to drop and kick on the fill valve to re-fill to appropriate level. Once these parts where replaced the toilet was working in perfect condition. If your toilet is making any funny noises call us today and have a professional make the needed repairs.
