15 Mar Rhino Rooter Urinal Install to meet ADA Requirements
Location: Hotel High Rise in Hollywood Beach Florida, 33028.
Cause of Problem: The hotel had a company remodel a few bathrooms in their building, and during a government inspection, the new bathrooms were found to be in violation of ADA (handicap code) requirements.
Resolution: The Hotel contacted Rhino Rooter Plumbers to bring their plumbing fixtures to meet the ADA requirements that are federally mandated. During a recent inspection of the facility it was found that some of the urinals did not meet the proper height requirements. By ADA Code, the urinal was too tall and was not wheelchair accessible. The existing Urinals had to be removed and new ones that meet the standards had to be installed. New American Standard Brand Urinals were installed and mounted to the wall without having to adjust the existing wall or plumbing rough-in which saved the hotel money and avoided having to shut down any of the facilities. The urinal that is pictured here was newly installed by Rhino Rooter, to meet the ADA code and avoid any disruption of the hotel functions.
Every few years the Florida State, Federal, and International plumbing codes are subject to change to ensure better products and more efficient methods are used. Make sure that your home or business plumbing systems are up to date and meet all necessary plumbing codes.
